Company Profile
Artemis is owned and operated by our Director & ADHD Coach, Tara Carman-French, after finding its start in 1993 with Dr. Jill Pickett, Registered Psychologist. Under Tara, Artemis has grown from a small, 2-person office to a multi-city, 15+ person collaborative community. With the pending retirement of Dr. Pickett, the team at Artemis is excited to build on our 30 years of service by expanding to embrace new clinicians, therapists, coaches, and other mental health professionals.

In Our Employees' Words
Charlene Rumble, Psychoeducational Consultant (23 years with Artemis)
Artemis Centre has been like a second home to me for all of my professional career.
There have been many changes over the years, but I have always wanted to remain
here because it is such a great place to work. I feel supported, challenged and always
very comfortable. The team interaction and dynamics are amazing. We work hard, but
this does not stop us from having a great time together. Everyone respects each other,
and we all work together to make the centre an inviting place. I also love the interactions
with the clients. We truly make a difference in their lives.
Keith Carman, Administrative Coordinator (2 years with Artemis)
Joining Artemis Assessment and Treatment Centre has been the greatest, most rewarding step in
my professional career. The team’s embrace of someone with limited initial knowledge, support
in bringing me up to speed and ongoing fostering of a warm, supportive environment makes
being a part of the crew a true blessing. We work together for a common goal and are
passionate about creating a positive environment for our team and clients alike. I feel
appreciated, respected, understood, and as though what I do makes an impact not just with our
patrons but also within our closely-knit, diverse bunch.
Madina Rona, Former Administrative Assistant (1 year with Artemis)
I am very thankful to be working here at Artemis and Assessment with a wonderful and
supportive team. Our director Tara has taught me a lot of useful skills here in the workplace. All
this was new to me, but she made me feel like it was second nature. I also was very delighted to
be trained by Keith who took all the time in the world to ensure that I understand and do my job
effortlessly. I am very pleased with my working atmosphere as well as the support I receive from
my colleagues. The true nature of teamwork is a major highlight, and this makes my duties very
seamless because I feel like everyone does their part to keep the wheels turning. It is also
wonderful to work with our clients and help them achieve their life goals whether it is at work or
home. I feel like I am growing here, and I am looking forward to the future here with the Artemis
team.
Christopher Azevedo, Data Entry (6 months with Artemis)
Well, I’ve always been the person who you would call a job jumper, so I’ve
worked at many places in my time so far. Artemis is at the top of my list of the
good places.
In fact, great places. Between the friendly and uplifting atmosphere, or the ease
of communication there are a ton of great factors of working here. Every day is
met with smiles and good mornings or a joke for a laugh before getting down to
work for the day. This kind of staff interaction is always uplifting and makes you
feel like a genuine part of the team! Being a part of an effective team makes work
feel just that little bit less like a job, and more so like the tasks and problems
ahead can be tackled problem free with the support of my coworkers.
Of course, Every job has its downfalls and Artemis is no exception. But with
successful team and the right attitude towards the day those so-called problems
never seem to linger. Sure, it may be a bit hectic or stressful with a busy day or an
upcoming deadline, yet the distinction of work and home life is seamless. Nothing
follows me home. Ever. The perk of being able to schedule appointments or
having things that I need to accomplish for myself and being able to get them
done is something I cherish. Not many places will willingly work with you to make
sure that you have the time to get these things done. But with some
communication, Artemis does.
Overall, Artemis is a great place to work. I would happily recommend
employment to anyone in need! Not many places can deal with bad days or the
daily struggles that plague us all like Artemis does.
